An Indian actress born in Thakurdwar district of South Mumbai. Her husband, Mohan Jaykar, is the son of Marathi lawyer Bar Jaykar. She began her career in 1993 in some successful TV series. She's known for playing supporting roles in Bollywood films and TV shows, mostly as a mother. Among her notable works are Devdas (2002), Sarfarosh (1999) and Rocky (2006).
