An astronomer, writer, university professor ,and film producer. He was born on June 1, 1940 in Logan, Utah, United States. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences. He appeared as himself in the series The Big Bang Theory. Also, he co-produced the science fiction film Interstellar (2014).
