British actor, born in Liverpool, England. He studied at Sefton Park Elementary School and then attended Liverpool Technical College. He studied design to become a painter, but he was attracted to acting and joined the theater team. He is known for A Hard Day's Night (1964) and Man in the Wilderness (1971).
