A British actor, born in Liverpool, England. He studied at Sefton Park Elementary School and then attended Liverpool Technical College. He studied design to become a draughtsman, but he was attracted to acting and joined a theater group. He is known for A Hard Day's Night (1964) and The Longest Day (1962).
