An American actress and singer, born in Augusta, Georgia, and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She began acting at the age of six through theater and studied at a selective arts high school. She then studied drama at the Juilliard School and graduated in 2011. She received the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Some of her credits include Peacemaker, Orange Is the New Black, and The Color Purple.
