A Spanish screenwriter and director, born in Zarautz and raised in the Spanish capital, Madrid. He attended the Escuela Oficial de Cine in Spain. He also rjoined the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques in France. His first film was Fantasía... 3, and while performing compulsory military service, he wrote his second film Algo amargo en la boca (1969). He moved on to horror in two successive films: Glass Ceiling (1971) and The Cannibal Man (1972).
