An Italian writer and director, born in Rome, Italy. He studied engineering. He then began his film career in the 1950s, working with Mario Serandrei. He also worked in producing documentaries. Among his works are Seven Deaths in the Cat's Eyes (1973) and The Humanoid (1979). He was also a visual effects expert, having worked on 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Car Crash (1981) and Chicken Park (1994).
