An Indian actor and director, born to Muslim parents. He started acting when he was a teenager and participated in more than 200 productions from 1957 till his death in the 1990s, most notably Dada (1979), Maa Kasam (1985), Yaarana (1981), and Rudaali (1993). He died on July 27, 1992, of a heart attack.
