An American actor, director, producer, editor, writer, and cinematographer, born on March 8, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York. He studied cinema at New York University but left his studies in 1963 without a degree when he got a job on The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. His notable works include Death Race 2000, Alligator, Cujo, and The Jewel of the Nile.
