Yemeni-Scottish director born in 1984 in Scotland, UK. She obtained a BA in Socio-Political Sciences and Human Rights and a master's degree in film directing from the University of Edinburgh. Her works include The Mulberry House (2013), and Karama Has No Walls (2012), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for the latter.
