A French writer and novelist, born in Casablanca, Morocco. He spent his childhood moving between Africa and Asia. He became a teacher before becoming one of the most famous French writers. In 1990, he won the Prix du Livre Inter for his book "La Petite Marchande de Prose". Some of his credits are The Scapegoat (2013) and Ernest & Celestine (2012).
