An American actor and director, born in San Diego, California, USA. He made his acting debut with the movie Everything I Have Is Yours (1952) before director Herschell Gordon Lewis introduced him in the promotional short Carving Magic. He appeared in many plays, and shared the theater with his wife, actress Connie Mason, in a number of his works. He also participated with his brother, Harry Kerwin, in establishing a theater in San Diego, California. Some of his credits include Blood Feast (1963) and Absence of Malice (1981).
