An American singer, writer, and actor, born in Texas. He had a career spanning many years. A tribute album was also released in his honor entitled "Don Williams: The Gentle Giant of Country Music", which included songs performed by singers such as Alison Krauss, Trisha Yearwood, and Garth Brooks. His credits include W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings (1975) and The Wendell Baker Story (2005).
