An American astrophysicist, writer, and presenter for many science television programs. He was born on October 5, 1958. Tyson received his primary and secondary education in public schools in the Bronx, New York City, and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, where he was editor-in-chief of the school's journal of physics. Tyson graduated from Harvard University in 1980 and then joined the University of Texas to obtain a master's degree in 1983. He then worked as a lecturer at the University of Maryland in 1986-1987. He appeared in the series The Colbert Report.
