A Hungarian-born Canadian actor, born in Budapest, Hungary. He arrived in Canada as a refugee after his family's dramatic escape from Hungary after the 1956 revolution. They arrived in Montreal in 1957 after a year in refugee camps. He became an accomplished classical guitarist, then began to take an interest in acting and performing with several small theater companies in Ontario, and then moved to cinema and television. Some of his credits include The Surgeon (1995), Decoy (1995), Mask of Death (1996) and Captive (2013).
