An American actor, born in Buffalo, New York. He studied at the State University of New York, Southern Illinois University, and the University of Minnesota. He is known for being a versatile actor who is good at comedy and drama as well as for having a loud voice and the ability to create complex characters. His notable films include The World According to Garp (1982), Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986), and Father of the Bride (1991).
