An American newsreel narrator, born in Boston, USA. He was educated at Boston College and graduated in 1932, then got his first radio job in his hometown of Boston. He was hired by NBC in 1935, and left for New York to participate in radio programs from the 1930s until the 1950s. Some of his credits include The King of Comedy (1982) and Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985).
