An American author and journalist, born in New York, United States. He graduated from Phillips Academy in Massachusetts, and then entered the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked as a sports editor for the university's newspaper, The Daily Pennsylvanian. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting and worked for several newspapers. He also wrote two best-sellers, "Friday Night Lights" under the pseudonym H.G. Bissinger and "A Prayer for the City". His credits include Shattered Glass (2003).
