An American actress, born in Kingston, Pennsylvania. She is a movie and television star and has been the most popular cigar commercial for 19 years. After her high school studies, she wanted to become an opera singer, so she studied voice and piano at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, and then joined the Columbia College of Drama to study acting. She first appeared on stage in 1947 in Blithe Spirit and then Goodnight Ladies (1948). Eddie Adams won the title of Miss USA in 1950. Among her most important roles are in The Apartment (1960), Here's Edie (1963), It's Mad Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), and Up in Smoke (1978).
