An American screenwriter and producer, born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and also studied journalism at the University of Kansas, graduating in 1972. He is known for Gargantua (1998), My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988), and Joan of Arc (1999).
