Egyptian theater actor and director, born in 1959. He worked in many films, founded the Theater Workshop, and worked as a broadcaster for a while. He was previously married to actress Abla Kamel and they have a daughter named Umm Kulthum. He immigrated to the United States to pursue his acting career.
