Venezuelan writer, producer, and director born Josefina Torres Benedetti on 9 October 1951 in Caracas, Venezuela. After studying design, photography, and journalism, she moved to Paris where she received a bachelor's degree in Cinematography from Institut des hautes études cinématographiques. Her works include Oriana, Celestial Clockwork, Woman on Top, and Habana Eva.
