A Pakistani cricketer, born in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He made his international cricket debut in 1996, representing the Pakistan national team for the first time in a match against Kenya. Known for his attacking style of play, he was a dynamic player who possessed the ability to turn the tide of matches throughout his career. He represented Pakistan in all formats of the game, including ODIs and T20Is, and captained the team on numerous occasions. Off the field, he is involved in charitable activities, particularly through his Shahid Afridi Foundation, which aims to provide healthcare and education to underprivileged communities in Pakistan. Although Afridi has retired, his legacy continues to inspire future generations of cricketers around the world.
