An Indian actress, born in Mumbai, India. She has a bachelor's degree in Fine art from the Nalanda Dance Research Centre, University of Mumbai, specializing in Bharatanatyam. She made her acting debut in 1981 with her role in the movie Kalyug, and then her films followed such as Wake Up Sid (2009), Arjun (1985), Yaatna (1987), and The Big Bull (2021). She won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2014 for her role in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela.
