Biography

An Egyptian writer born in 1951 in Shubra, Cairo. In 1975, he graduated with a degree in criticism from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, where he worked as an assistant teacher in 1981. After finishing his master's degree in 1985, he received a scholarship to study for...Read more his PhD in England. He wrote and translated several plays and has been a member of several juries. He wrote several plays including The Seagulls, The White Chameleon, and Language of the Mountains. He died in the Beni Suef Theater fire on 5 September 2005.
