A British actor, born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He studied at the Royal High School, then went to the University of Edinburgh to study architecture before finding his true passion through theater at the university. Later, he began studying drama at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He is known for Gandhi (1982) and Opera (1987).
