An American writer and actress, born in Texas. She holds a master's degree in media studies from the University of Texas and a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Middle Tennessee State University. She also holds a master's degree in screenwriting from the American Film Institute. She won the prestigious Writers Guild Award. Among her works are A Light in the Woods (2014) and Thirst (2015).
