An American musician, composer, and music producer, born in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York City, New York, USA. He started learning to play the guitar taking lessons with teacher Gene Dell, then started writing songs. He also studied with Rudolph Schramm, who was the head of the NBC Staff Orchestra and taught music at Carnegie Hall. In 1972, he appeared in the film The Poseidon Adventure. He also played in the short film Session Man (1991), which won an Oscar. He has composed and played instruments for scores for dozens of films, including Joe Dirt, Up in Smoke, Nice Guys Sleep Alone, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. He has also written, produced, or performed songs with artists such as Joe Walsh, Jackson Browne, and Linda Ronstadt.
