An Irish actor, born in Dublin, Ireland. He studied at a seminary for two years before switching to English at University College Dublin. He worked as a primary school teacher for a year before joining the Dublin Theatre Company. In addition to his extensive stage career, Peter appeared in nearly thirty television and film roles, including films such as Taffin (1988), Angel (1982), and Criminal Conversation (1980), and TV series such as The Hanging Gale (1995) and Ballykissangel (1996). He died on January 1, 2008, in Manchester, England, UK, from the effects of a stroke.
