An American actor, born in Washington, D.C. He was the father of actor Sean Heyman and grandfather of actress Samantha Heyman. His career spanned thirty years. He also appeared on stage in many Broadway productions and the Shakespeare Theater Festival in New York. He studied Theater at the University of California, Los Angeles. Among his works are Raising Cain (1992) and Dead Man Walking (1995).
