He is American comedian, born on May 27, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York. He won an Academy Award for his role in the movie Sadat. He studied at New York University, became a basketball player, and started acting in 1961. He worked in the movie Daddy's Little Girls (2007), Diggstown (1992), El Diablo (1990), A Good Man in Africa (1994), and Toy Soldiers (1991).
