An American actor and producer, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. He began his career in 1970 in theatre. He also co-founded the Robey Theatre Company with actor Danny Glover, in honor of actor and opera singer Paul Robeson. In 2008, he received an Ovation Award nomination for Featured Actor in a Play for The Piano Lesson. Some of his credits include The Color Purple (1985) and The Tuskegee Airmen (1995).
