A British actress, born on June 22, 1932 in Sutton Abinger, Surrey, England, United Kingdom. She moved to Bedford in Devon in 1939 during World War II. She received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bradford in England. Her works include Fawlty Towers, The Boys from Brazil, Howards End, and An Awfully Big Adventure.
