An American actress, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and obtained a masters degree in Theater Arts from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Later, she began performing in theater, where she received a nomination for the 1978 Tony Award in the category of Best Actress for the play The Mighty Gents, which was written by Richard Wesley, and then her artistic performances continued.
