An Iraqi actress, born to an officer father and a mother of Turkish origin. Her father was killed following a massacre perpetrated by the Turks in the Hillah region. After a period of settling in Baghdad, she left high school to marry her cousin, who was also an army officer, and she moved with him to Kirkuk, where he worked, until the divorce occurred. Among her most important works are I'm Iraq (1961), Dr. Hassan (1959), Have Mercy on Me (1958), and Life Has Disciplined Him (1958).
