An Egyptian theater director, born in 1939 in Sharqia Governorate, Egypt. He practiced theatrical acting while he was a high-school student. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, and joined the World Theater Division. In 1963, he was assigned to the Modern Theater and then to the Musical Performance Troupe in 1967. He directed Yassine and Baheya, and Adham El-Sharkawi. He was appointed as the first director of El Samer Theatre in September 1971. He directed for the El Samer company some folk plays, the most important of which are Shafiqa and Metwaly, and The Beggars. He received the State Encouragement Award in 1985 for directing the play Al Hilali Biography at Al Ghouri Agency, El Samer Theatre.
