A Canadian film, television, and voice actress of Greek descent, born in Alberta and raised in Toronto. She studied at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She was planning to go to law school but gave up this path to pursue acting. Athena Karkanis began her acting career in 2003 with an episode on Chappelle's Show (2003). Her notable work includes Saw IV (2007), Survival of the Dead (2009), and Zoo (2017).
