An Iraqi actor, born in Kadhimiya in 1942. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Arabic literature in 1971-1972. He directed a large number of radio series and plays and scored many of them. He worked with many television and theater troupes who presented their works on Iraqi television, including the July 14 Troupe. Among the plays that he participated in for Baghdad TV was the play The Holiday of Safety and Joy. He held several positions and headed several divisions of Radio Baghdad and Sawl Al Jamaheer station in the 1960s and 1970s. He received several certificates of appreciation and awards for his radio work, most notably from the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and Information in 1998. He was a member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate. His last TV work was the series Winds of the Past, while his notable films include The Collector. He passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014.
