An American actress and dancer, born on March 26, 1960, in New York, to Academy Award-winning actor Joel Grey, and retired actress Jo Wilder. She began her career in 1984 with small roles in many films, including Reckless, Red Dawn, and The Cotton Club. In 1986, she played a supporting role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which was a hit. Her most notable film was Dirty Dancing (1987), for which she received a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. Grey won season 11 of the dancing competition series Dancing with the Stars. In the early nineties, Jennifer underwent a failed nose job, which negatively affected her career. She got depressed and decided to quit acting temporarily. Later on, she appeared in the series It's Like, You Know... (1999-2001), then the movie Keith (2008).
