A Tunisian singer and actress, born on November 4, 1936, in Tunis. Her real name is Beya Bent Béchir Ben Hédi Rahal. Her singing career extended from 1950 to 1990. She was discovered by Tunisian musician and violinist Ridha Kalaï, who composed for her the song “Zalmouni Habaybi" (My Loved Ones Have Done Me Wrong), which was recorded on the Tunisian radio. She lived in Egypt and achieved great success after collaborating with composer Helmi Bakr. She remained in Egypt for about 15 years, after which she returned to Tunisia in 1988. She played the role of Esmeralda in the play Notre-Dame de Paris, while her movies include Une page de notre histoire. Oulaya passed away on March 19, 1990, at the age of 53 years, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy.
