An Indian actress and presenter, born in Punjab.In 1979, her family relocated to Norway. She initiated her acting career while studying English literature at the University of Oxford in Britain. Then she returned from Britain to complete her studies at the Delhi University. In the 1990s, she gained immense recognition in the Hindi cinema industry. She appeared in several works, such as Surakshaa (1995), Soggadi Pellam (1996), and Kaala Samrajya (1999). The Arab viewer knew her for her role in the series Saraswatichandra (2013).
