He is an American actor, born March 26, 1919, Kokomo, Indiana, United States. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie in 1950. He participated in several films, including The Villain (1979), The Hard Times (1975), The Wild Bunch (1969), and The Sons of Katie Elder (1959).
