American actor, born on March 16, 1878, on his father's cotton plantation in Shelby County, Alabama. His father was a captain in the Confederate Army. He began his film career in 1909 in motion picture studios in New York. He made films, including: Ride Him, Cowboy (1932), The Murder in the Museum (1934), and Hearts in Bondage (1936). He died of influenza, on June 7, 1936.
