An American actor and director of Irish origin, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He studied law and worked as a lawyer, but he wanted to become an actor. He also participated in many theatrical performances and artistic works, including Love Thy Neighbor (1940) and O. Henry's Full House (1952).
