An American producer, actress and writer, she moved with her family to Minnesota at the age of five and her parents divorced a year later. She received her university education at St. Thomas and Minnesota Universities in Minnesota, and one of her most important writing works is Wild. Among her work as a producer is Alien Boy: The Life and Death of James Chass. She was nominated for numerous awards including: GFCA Award in 2015, Satellite Award in 2014, and USC Scripter Award in 2015.
