Irish actress, writer, director, producer, and editor, born on July 14, 1976 in Dublin, Ireland. She studied screenwriting at New York University in 1993 and went to film school at University College Dublin, earning her film degree from Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design in 1998. Her works include My Left Foot, Patterns, and Disco Pigs. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for In America (2002).
