British actress. She began her acting career with an uncredited role in Leo the Last (1970). Among her notable works are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and A Christmas Carol (2000). She won the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in A Private Function (1984). She passed away at the age of 95.
