An Indian actress, born on June 8, 1957. The filmmaker Raj Kapoor discovered her and cast her in his movie Bobby (1973). Dimple married actor Rajesh Khanna at the age of 16, then quit acting to look after her family, but after their divorce, she resumed her career in 1984. Her notable works include Kaash (1987), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Luck by Chance (2009), and Tenet (2020). She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Rudaali (1993).
