An American writer and producer, born in Savannah, Georgia, United States. He began his career by selling jokes to actor Eddie Cantor for his radio shows before becoming famous for writing the series Julia, which starred Diahann Carroll. His other works include the movie Road to Bali (1952), which co-starred Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.
