American writer and producer, born on July 14, 1964 in Ames, Iowa, USA. She studied linguistics and graduated from the University of California. She worked on both situation comedies and serial dramas and was a co-writer and producer for five years on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Among her writing or production credits are Husbands (2011), Battlestar Galactica: The Face of the Enemy (2008-2009), and Game of Thrones (2011). She shared two Hugo Awards for Best Dramatic Presentation for Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Conversations with Dead People (2002) and Game of Thrones (2011).
