An Algerian writer and director, who currently lives in Paris. His career was launched in 1981 through Algerian TV as a 2nd assistant director after finishing his film studies in Paris in 1978. His debut in writing and directing was the short film "The End of the Jinn" (1990). He is also known for "Tlemcen or New Andalusia" (2011), L'Heroine (2013), and "Peacemakers" (2015).
